Hello

"I am a contemporary oil painter based in Albany,Western Australia .    My work is a love letter to the rugged limestone cliffs, the ancient moss-covered rocks, and thyed translucent, wild turquoises of the Southern Ocean. My practice is an exploration of light and atmosphere, capturing the moments when the sky meets the Southern Ocean. Through layers of oil paint, I seek to translate the quiet, breathtaking energy of the Great Southern coastline into works that bring a sense of calm and expansive beauty into the home."

My Story

My creative journey has always been guided by color, patterns and the beauty of nature. Living and working in the Great Southern, I am constantly humbled by the raw power and serene beauty of our coastline.

In the past I have won an award in the Albany Art Prize, Albany Art competitions as well as the Pilbara where we lived for eight years. I have also participated in exhibitions in these regions, and in Townsville Queensland, where I first studied in a four year Art Degree.

In the studio, I translate outdoor inspirations into layered oil paintings. My process is tactile and intuitive; I use professional-grade oils to build depth and texture, mirroring the complexity if tahe natural world. For me, painting is a way of slowing down-of taking the vast, overwhelming beauty of Western Australia and distilling it into a single, quiet moment that you can hang on your wall.

Whether it's an original canvas that carries the physical energy of my brushstrokes or a fine art print designed to bring a touch of the coast into a modern home, my goal is the same: to share the sense of peace and wonder that I feel every time I look out at the horizon. I am honoured that my work has found homes across Australia and beyond, connecting people to the wild heart of the West."
